Hey everyone, just solidifying my position as total nerd so feel free to cower before my geekness! Anyway I attended the Video Games Live concert yesterday night at the Jubille Auditorium and holy cripes on toast! It was fantastic! I can tell you that I have never been to anything so enjoyable! For those who don't know about its a concert that was started by Tommy Tallarico and Jack Wall (2 fantastic video game musicians)where they use an orchestra to play video game music, in this case it was the Edmonton Symphony orchestra. Take a peek at the VG live website you won’t be disappointed ( http://www.videogameslive.com/index.php?s=home) Still all I have to say is WOW! if you missed it you definitely missed a one in a lifetime opportunity, there was everything there from game kiosks to dealers area. I got myself some sweet swag to go along with it, an Earthworm Jim shirt a Sonic the hedgehog shirt and Video Games Live shirt and the Earthworm Jim anthology sound track! (which is extremely rare). I'll get pictures up ASAP. About the concert I think the first half was definitely the better one they played so much stuff that really surprised me! The second half was of a more tribute oriented which was still ok but not up to my standards. And for the intermission they played some neat tracks some from Pac-man World rally and pong and other heavy hitters. As well after the concert Tommy an Jack as well as a few other big name stuck around for a meet and greet. I got Tommy’s and Jack's signature (on almost all my stuff) as well a photo with them, yes you heard correct! I was got a photo with 2 of my heroes! *Whew* That’s not all I have to say about it (yeah it was just that great!) but I need to calm down and collect my thoughts so more tomorrow! Leomane signing off! Tags: concert, music, video game music, video games live Mood: excited Listening too...: Kirby's Adventure BGM
